Meet your science teacher, Mrs. Warren
Welcome to the wonderful world of science!

I'm Mrs. Warren and I have been teaching science in the Elkhart school district for 15 years. I wasn't always a science teacher, though. After graduating high school, I earned a degree as a veterinary technician and worked for 6 years in that field. During that time, I took more college courses and became a certified laboratory technician. Then, I went back to college full time and earned my teaching degree. I also have a master's degree in Curriculum and Education with an emphasis on ESL.
My life is very busy. I have three grown or almost grown children. My youngest child was born with Cri-du-Chat syndrome. He is missing a small piece of chromosome number 5, so he has very special challenges. He had far exceeded the bleak prognosis we were given for him at his birth. He is now 14 and will be entering high school next year. He loves anything cowboy and will only wear cowboy boots. We got him his own little horse last fall and he loves to ride. His horse is named Applejack because Colton can sign the word "apple".
I live in the country about 25 miles from Elkhart. We have 3 horses, some chickens, some geese, a llama named Napoleon, and a very large dog.
I really enjoy teaching at ECS and I love science!
