Street Law

Street Law is an introductory course to the study of law.  It is basically a law class for people who are not going to be lawyers.  It focuses on the laws that we, as average citizens, need to know in order to function in our society.  The concepts covered include: 1)How and why laws are made; 2) Criminal law and the justice system; 3) Civil law and torts; 4) Contracts and credit; 5) Consumer law; 6) Family law; 7) Laws in the workplace; and 8) Constitutional law.

 

Sociology (1/2)

This course will study the factors in the social life of people.  It will include the study of group behavior, culture, socialization, social groups.  The nature of specific organizations of groups;  their activities and the social influences that affect personalities, behavior and social change.
