After getting a narrative book published, the 4th grade students have been learning about technical reading and writing.
When it came to an assignment where students had to teach everyone an activity, many chose to write about sports. We learned how to play soccer, basketball, and volleyball. One student even taught us how to bait a fishing hook!
For extra practice, students were encouraged to pick a family favorite recipe and follow the directions given. In the picture, Syrus is baking some delicious brownies. It looks like he is an awesome technical reader - they look perfect!
