Mrs. Carter

Resource Specialist, General Business & Photography

November 07, 2007

Welcome to Elkhart Cyber School!  This is my sixth year with ECS, and I've had the opportunity to meet families in all parts of the state and work with many absolutely top-notch teachers.

On a personal level, I grew up in a town of approximately 200 people in Southwest Kansas and graduated from Stanton Co. High School in 1988.  I received my bachelor's degree in business education from Oklahoma Panhandle State University in 1991 and my master's in business education from Emporia State University in 2004.  I began my teaching career in the Texas panhandle, where I taught 3rd - 12th grade computer applications for six years before coming back to Kansas.

I have been married to Richard for over 15 years, and we have two kids.  Lauren is an 8th grader who loves running.  She runs cross country, plays basketball, and runs track.  She's also in band and takes piano lessons.  It seems that she's on the go all the time.  Brendon is in 6th grade and also likes sports.  He really enjoys baseball and basketball, and he plans to run cross country in middle school next year.
