Welcome to ECS! I am one of the full time teachers here at Elkhart Cyber School. I teach 7th and 8th grade Science, Social Studies, and Language Arts. This is my sixth year of teaching in the Cyber School. I think you will really enjoy this unique learning experience.
Besides being a teacher, I am a mom and a wife. My husband's name is Mike and we just celebrated our 25th Wedding Anniversary in June! Mike is the Chief Telecom Manager at the local Telephone/Internet/Cable company here in Elkhart. Our daughter, Nicole, graduated from KU Medical Center School of Nursing in May of 2006. She is an RN, BSN in the Medical ICU at St Luke's Hospital in Kansas City. Our son, Grant, is a senior at Emporia State University, in Emporia, KS. He plans to be a teacher and a coach when he gets finished. We are a very close family, however with the kids on one side of the state and us on the other, it really makes for a lot of long trips both ways.
We moved into a new house on Memorial Day weekend, so I spent my summer getting everything unboxed and settled. It has been fun. We love our new house!! It is just a few miles outside of Elkhart.
The other member of our family is Crockett, our pug. He is really a character. I have more pictures of him than I do of anyone else.
He keeps us all smiling.
